Our Mission

The National School Reform Faculty organization empowers educators to create meaningful learning experiences for all, by collaborating effectively in reflective democratic communities that foster educational equity and social justice.

Our History

The National School Reform Faculty organization is a professional development initiative of the Harmony Education Center, nonprofit 501(c)(3) in Bloomington, Indiana. We train educators across the United States and around the world to use NSRF protocols and activities in the development of Critical Friends Group work.

The NSRF organization was originally founded in 1994 by the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University. During the summer of 2000, Critical Friends Group training and the NSRF organization moved to the Harmony Education Center and became self-sustaining.
